About Us

Amulet is inspired by the life and work of the late Tessa Tennant OBE, a sustainable finance pioneer.

Following its launch at a Lifetime Achievement event celebrating Tessa's career in 2018, the sculpture initiative became a project of CDP Worldwide. CDP is a registered charity (No. 1122330) and a company limited by guarantee, incorporated and registered in England and Wales (No. 05013650), with its registered office at Plantation Place South, 60 Great Tower Street, London EC3R 5AD.

Vision

At the core of Amulet's vision is a recognition of the interconnected, but evolving exchange between the financial system, the real economy and sustainable development.

Three clear priorities emerge from Amulet's form, a giant braid of golden grass:

  • Zero Harm: Its circular shape expresses the imperative for finance to cause zero environmental harm. Net zero carbon is rising up the agenda, but zero extinction and zero waste are also critical goals for finance to make real

  • Holistic Impact:Amulet is a connected whole, communicating the vital need for finance to deliver holistic impact across economic, social and environmental dimensions

  • Serving Everyone: Everyone can make a braid of grass – and through its simplicity, Amulet sends a message that finance is not an elite activity, but serves everyone
